Ahu O Laka – Ahu O Laka, also known as The Sandbar, it’s a must see destination when traveling to Oahu. It’s located in Kaneohe Bay about 1 mile from Heeia Kea Pier. The best way to reach there is by boat, if that option is not available, then you can rent a kayak.

This place is hot spot for locals, plan a trip to Ahu O Laka over week days, otherwise be ready to see a crowded beach over weekends. Remember to carry a protection from the sun, as provision for shade is not available. Check the calendar for tide, its better to visit Ahu O Laka during low tide.

Lanikai Beach -The sea is incredibly clear and blue, and it is really calming. Mokuluas is located offshore from the island, and it is a favorite location for both locals and tourists. The public can only gain access via walkways. Remember to respect the privacy of the locals when visiting this beach. There are no lifeguards.

Kailua Beach Park – If you plan on visiting this beach on weekends, arrive early to secure a prime place and beat the crowds. The Beach Park is gorgeous, long, and sandy. The offshore water contains no hazardous objects; the waters are classified as Class A. Swimming, surfing, and boating are all permitted. A brackish water pool is located behind the beach. The flood and drain waters from the Kaelepulu Canal fill this pool.

This beach is also known as “Family Friendly Beach,” and it is ideal for picnics and birthday parties. There are lifeguards on duty here. Sandy Beach – is a popular spot for body surfers. Check with lifeguards before entering the sea, as tides can be treacherous at times.
